Balsamiq Import

We’ve made it quick and seamless to move your Balsamiq work into Moqups – and you don’t even need a plugin!

But, first of all, why might you want to move your work from Balsamiq to Moqups? Well, maybe you built some low fidelity wireframes in Balsamiq, but now you need to go medium, or even hi-fi, as your project evolves.

Or maybe you want to take advantage of Moqups larger ecosystem of whiteboard, diagramming and prototyping tools; that way, all your project’s artifacts can live in one place.

Either way, it only takes a few seconds to move your work to Moqups.

In this article, you'll learn how to:

Copy and Paste from Balsamiq to Moqups

No plugin is required. Just select and copy any objects from your Balsamiq board, and then paste them directly onto your Moqups page. The elements will be automatically converted to the equivalent Moqups stencils so you can just click to start customizing.

Drop Balsamiq files right onto your Moqups page

You can import whole Balsamiq projects by just dropping the .bmpr file onto a Moqups page. It’s that simple. Each Balsamiq board will become a separate page with your Moqups project.
